Members of the Marple Historical Society board of directors recently picked up the first portion of a mid-to-late 20th century newspaper collection being transferred from the Delaware County Historical Society to our historical society. This collection includes local editions of papers such as the County Leader and County Press, as well as little-known hyper-local publications such as the Marple Mirror. The Marple Historical Society thanks the Delaware County Historical Society for working with us to ensure the preservation of these primary sources from an important, but oft overlooked period of our community’s history. In the coming years, we hope to make these newspapers available for research and education.
